Curb sawing is done with custom built, high horsepower saws that have a blade that is horizontal and parallel to the surface it is riding on and can cut any concrete surface flush to the road, bridge or other surface. Curb sawing is typically used to saw cut median barriers, bridge parapet walls, sidewalk and brush curb removal, eliminating the need to hammer the roadway or bridge for non-destructive demolition. Curb sawing is also used to cut standard curbing and sidewalks for driveway access or ADA requirements at intersection.
